In January 2018, Phorale, a beloved “restaurant” in a South Park mini-mart, closed its doors. They were known for serving Asian/Tex Mex fusion and gained a loyal following despite limited seating, a small kitchen, and a challenging location. Sandwiches like the Fuego (pork, spicy sauce, pickled vegetables, and garlice cilantro may) stole our hearts! Phorale fries witih avocado crema salsa verde and habanero were also a fan favorite.

Fast forward to March 2019, when the word on the street was that Phorale would open The Flavor Trailer, a mobile trailer serving up the food we’ve been missing. They held a Grand Opening Fiesta at Bar Ciudad on March 23rd and the line was long. Live music and drinks made for a fun party! I stopped by to grab a sweet t-shirt I won from a @feedthepudge giveaway.
