I've lived in Seattle for a long time. I've eaten at @fishermansseattle at @minerslandingpier57 before. The food is not like I remember it. @chefnicknovello unveiled a 3-course pre-fixe Valentine's Day menu that runs thru 2/17. I'm all in, which is very rare. These are my favorites but it was hard to choose! . Braised Tomato Shrimp Brodo and Ricotta Dumplings: The shrimp was perfectly grilled and had a bit of spice. The dumplings soaked up the flavorful broth. I may or may not not have eaten 80% of this dish my myself. . Housemade Sourdough New England Clam Chowder Bread Bowl: I'm lactose intolerant and I ate the whole thing! Rich, creamy, and balanced will keep me coming back for this dish! . Chocolate Pot’deCrΓ¨me: I was full when they brought this out and I couldn't put my spoon down! Four kinds of chocolate, salt, and strawberries made for a perfect bite! . Let's taco bout it! I don't know about you but I'm tired of staying home and cooking all the time! It's Taco Tuesday and I'm dreaming of the @themarketfishmonger! You guys, real talk. These are some of the best fish tacos I've had in awhile! I highly recommend you give this place a try.
I'm a fan of the shredded pork fried noodles from @dintaifungusa. The texture is firm and the sauce gets in all the right places. The pork is cooked well and never dry. It's a great dish to combine with everyone's favorite xiao long bao. What other dishes do you get at DTF?
It's week one of #SeattleBurgerMonth! This week highlights Chef Stuart Lane of @artusibar and @spinasseseattle! The Italian Job has Artusi meatballs, provolone, argula, tomato sauce, and garlic aioli on a ciabatta bun. Get one before February 11th!
It's Throwback Thursday and I'm thinking about my visit to @blazingbagels last month! I'm a huge fan of the bagels here and I was excited to attend to attend this special event! I tried this Greek challah French toast with yogurt, honey, and berries. I'm a lover of brunchy things and this hit the spot! I'll eat shave ice all year round! I'm from a small town on the Big Island and we call it ice shave there. On our @seattlefoodiepodcast road trip to Portland last week, @nelson_eats (also hand modeling) and I stopped by for this lava flow. The ice was among the finest grind I've ever had. The haupia cream is off the hook! Click the link in my bio to hear the episode! Wanna try one? #seattlefoodiepodcast #pdxroadtrip
I'm still dreaming of our @seattlefoodiepodcast food crawl in Portland. @nelson_eats and I took a day last week and had to stop at @bluestardonuts. Click the link in my bio to listen to episode 021 and recap the trip! #seattlefoodiepodcast #pdxroadtrip
On our @seattlefoodiepodcast trip to Portland, @nelson_eats and I had to stop at @nongskhaomangai. The chicken was cooked perfectly, served with fluffy rice and salty broth. The sauce brought it all together. It was the first time I had the chicken skin. How was it? Take my money!!! Do you like crunchy chicken skin?
My first trip to Portland in almost five years and I've missed these wings from @pokpokpdx. It was my first time at the Pok Pok Noi location with @nelson_eats on a @seattlefoodiepodcast adventure. These sticky, messy wings are the stuff dreams are made of! I'm all about fish sauce and garlic. I could eat these every day. Could you?
Ever had an ovaltine crema? Take it from a lactose intolerant gal in denial - it's delicious! The creamy, chocolatey flavor of the ovaltine reminds me of my childhood. The slightly salty crema adds depth and salt always compliments chocolate. I've tried @dreamydrinks a few times now. I'll be back to try fruit teas next. This is a newer food truck that just started coming to Seattle a few weeks ago. Would you try this drink? #foodtruckery #seattlefoodiepodcast
It's been a few months since I've taken a ferry ride. I was in Edmonds a few weeks ago. My mom was visiting from out of town so my brother and I showed her around. We took a walk on the beach, had a cup of coffee and a meal with friends. The Edmonds food scene is poppin' with some of my favorite foods at @themarketfishmonger and @eatonopoke. What's your favorite places to visit in Edmonds?
Last week, I made it to the grand opening of @85cbakerycafe in Chinatown. They had a full selection of baked goods to choose from. This spicy sausage was one of my favorites. The bread was so soft and all the flavors worked together. This is perfect for breakfast or a snack. Have you been to the new location yet?
