Friday afternoon at Westlake Park

On a Friday afternoon, my Seattle Foodie Podcast co-host Nelson Lau and I were invited to Westlake Park to visit Sugar + Spoon, a newer food truck serving up safe-to-eat edible cookie dough.

I appreciate thoughtful details that bring customers in. The brightly colored truck is easy to spot and appealing to the eyes. The menu is easy to read and for lack of a better phrase, “super cute.” On the day we visited, they set up a backdrop which is perfect for instagrammable pictures.

Shot of cereal milk and a scoop of Dough-Reo

The cookie dough is prepared with no eggs and uses heat treated flour, making it safe to eat. If cookie dough isn’t your jam, they also serve vanilla ice cream. For the cookie dough, pick 1-3 scoops in a cup or cone and enjoy! Nelson and I tried the Dough-Reo, Party Animal, and milk shots.

I appreciate that Sugar + Spoon has found a good balance so the dough isn’t overly sweet. The texture is satisfying and cookies make for a perfect bite with the dough! The milk shots are perfect size and they have both plain and cereal flavors. Find Sugar + Spoon on the streets by following their Instagram or website and see what the buzz is about!
