A Taste of Tres’ House of Cheesesteaks

On a rainy afternoon, I headed to Tres’ House of Cheesesteaks. You guys know I’m down with mobile food, rain or shine. Currently, the trailer is located in the parking lot of Frelard’s 4 B’s Ballard Grill and Alehouse at 4300 Leary Way NW. As I understand it, prior to the COVID-19 emergency, they were serving food inside the restaurant.

10/01/2021 UPDATE: Currently, Tres’ House of Cheesesteaks is not at 4 B’s. They serve inside Goofy’s located at 8519 15th Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98117.

When I arrived, I was the only customer there so get out there and support Black owned business guys! The menu featured a Signature Cheesesteak, a Tres’ Caliente, and Mushroom Swiss. I’ll save the Mushroom Swiss for my next visit and ordered the first two.

Signature Cheesesteak
Tres’ Caliente

The bread is sturdy, but soft. It was perfect for holding the chopped, cheesy meat in place. The Signature Cheesesteak had good flavor and a tinge of heat to give it a kick. The Tres’ Caliente had a higher heat profile, what was a welcome addition to a standard sandwich. The meat was moist and chopped to the perfect size for chewing. Overall, it’s a good sandwich and I’m looking forward to going back to try the Mushroom Swiss sandwich.
